This is important as it helps in ensuring safe and coordinated care.

Different kinds of massages may be given. Deep kneading is the first. This technique involves therapists using more forceful but slower strokes and generally targets deep-lying muscles and connective tissue. This therapy helps in healing damaged muscles resulting from injuries. Swedish kneads are more gentle and relies on vibrations, tapping and strokes and massages with deep circular movements to aid patients in relaxing and being re-energized.

The third type is the sport massages which though quite similar to Swedish massages are aimed to be used on people who take part in sports. It aims at treatment or prevention of injuries by focusing on tight muscles fibers which result from injuries and overuse of muscles. Basically, massaging is an alternative aspect of medicine.

Although more research is need in order to confirm the many benefits of massaging therapies, some studies have shown key benefits of using massage. For instance, it has been found effective in reducing pain, stress, as well as muscle tension. It is also helpful in other conditions such as digestive disorders, headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and myofascial pain syndrome.

Massage therapy is really appreciated by many people since it offers them care, comfort and connection feelings. It is however not supposed to replace the regular medical care and one should still continue to get standard medication treatment.

In conclusion, massage therapy does not work for everyone or rather it may not be beneficial for certain individuals, for example, those with bleeding disorders, fractures, severe osteoporosis, healing wounds, deep vein thrombosis and finally patients who are consuming thinning medicines.
