Friends plus family are a part of quick healing after delivery. It is common for breastfeeding women to feel empty, lonely and stressed up. Giving birth comes with responsibilities which new mothers barely expect. Therefore, it is important to have friends and family around you at that time. They are a source of encouragement as well as great company. However, having so many of them at the same time is overwhelming. To prevent this, one may schedule when someone will visit.

Nutritional routines change a bit after delivery. Due to milk production, body organs adjustment and energy requirements, mothers should ensure they feed healthy. Specialists advise that hard foods such as meat must be avoided during the first weeks. At this time, digestive system has been strained hence not energetic enough to crash such foods. To boost milk production, one may take hot drinks especially bone broths. Before and after meals, take little ground ginger combined with some lime. However, it should not be taken at the expense of colic in infants.

Cooking or even deciding what to eat during breastfeeding may be undesirable among new mothers. Normally, they want to rest as much as possible and get enough time with their babies. For this reason, a feeding calendar can be prepared one or two months before delivery. This will show caretakers what will be prepared at a particular time.

Light exercises help moms recover quickly. In the absence of that, regular massages are advisable. Massage may be done with warm oil that soothes and relaxes muscles. Partners or relatives come in handy. In case they are not available or able to do so, one can self-massage.

Normally, bellies sag after birth. Doctors advise that immediately after delivery, moms can tie their abdominal area with a wrapper or tummy trimmers. It should, however, be tight enough to provide comfort. Caesarian section mothers cannot do that while their wound is still fresh.

Enough sleep is key to a quick recovery process. Experts believe one major contribution of post-birth depression is insufficient sleep. Keen observation will enable mothers to learn when their infants sleep most. At that time they too can sleep. If this is not possible, then relatives or parents may help with carrying babies as mother sleeps.

Like any other emotional condition, post birth stress is a medical state whose cure may be found in counselors. If after observing the above guidelines moms still feel fatigued, anxious and sad all times, they may consider seeing a psychologist. This should not be shameful at all.
