Have you ever woken up in the morning and every time you move to try and get out of bed your leg starts paining all the way up your spine towards you neck. This is so sore and really does make a person feel that they do not even want to move. This article will explain to you how come many consider low back pain leading cause of disability.

Most of the causes for lumbago are not very clear. It is however believed that most of the discomfort can be due to non-serious skeletal issues or muscle issues like strains and sprains. Other factors like pregnancy, stress, bad physical condition, poor posture, obesity, bad sleeping positions and smoking can also play a major role in lumbago.

There are a couple of signs and symptoms that you will start seeing and experiencing should you be suffering from lumbago. You will start feeling discomfort after some certain movements like bending forward, or twisting and even lifting. The symptoms that you will be experiencing can start anytime from straight after the movement that might have caused it to even only the following morning.

Musculoskeletal, inflammatory, infectious and malignancy is the four main categories. Musculoskeletal will include things like muscle spasms, herniated disk, muscle strains, compression fracture, osteoarthritis, herniated nucleus pulposus, and spinal stenosis. The inflammatory category can include things like inflammatory bowel disease, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis as well as reactive arthritis.

Malignancy can include bone metastasis from the thyroid, prostate, breast and lungs among others. The last category, the infectious category includes something called osteomyelitis. There are ways to prevent lumbago. The most effective way to really prevent lumbago is to do regular back exercises. You should not overdo it but you need to exercise the muscles and joints on a regular basis. You need to make sure that you need to make sure that you are sleeping on a proper mattress.

The mattress should not be too soft or too hard. The mattress needs to be firm and it needs to be able to support your back and provide the surface to give your body a good posture even while you are sleeping. As mentioned before, if you do not have good posture when you sleep you can also hurt your back and you can then suffer from lumbago.

The two worse problems the people will also suffer from when they suffer from lumbago is anxiety or depression. There are so many things that can go wrong that can cause the lumbago. There is also so many things that you can do to prevent lumbago.
