By Carissa Glenn

The alternative health treatment industry has gained popularity in the last few years. It caters for patients suffering from small ailments, such as flu and fevers, to complicated ones, like Candida. Although this parasitic fungus albicans yeast is naturally present in the human body, an influx of the yeast, which might be caused by stress or excessive antibiotics, may lead to candidiasis. This is nothing to worry about as there is an assortment of candida natural treatment remedies that exist in the market today.

Firstly, you will need to decide if you actually have candidiasis or not. A few symptoms of the infection include tiredness and difficulties with indigestion. Others include rashes on the surface of the skin, a foul breath and a white coating on the tongue. Dandruff could also indicate an infection of candidiasis. Woman can tell if they have the condition by noticing a milky white vaginal discharge, or can be concerned if they have vaginal infections that do not seem to clear.

At the first stages, before the candidiasis progresses and generates complications, it can be treated with a host of natural remedies to combat the disease. However, if the disease is no longer in its early stages, it would be wise to call for a physician for a check up. Natural remedies would still ask you to go through the correct procedures. Most of the time, the first thing that is needed to be done is to detoxify the colon where over production of candida usually occurs.

Prevention is always better than cure, therefore there are some ways that you can look after your colon, and stop the overgrowth of this parasitic fungus. Foods rich in acidophilus bacteria are helpful for this purpose. The bacteria has the capability of making the colon over acidic, and candida yeast cells are unable to grow in this kind of environment. It is considered as a good bacteria that also maintains the intestinal tract's microbial balance. The bacteria can be purchased in the form of capsules. It is also beneficial with Aloe Vera juice.

Grapefruit is also helpful in combating the overgrowth in the intestinal tract. The extract from the seeds of grapefruit is filled with Citricidal acid and has been known to reduce the yeast cells in the intestinal tract. If this remedy is used for a month, the extracts from the seed would eventually repair the microbial balance. For people with sensitive bowels, this particular remedy is very helpful for combating Candida.

Women with vaginal yeast infections have found that the use of tea extracts help relieve the symptoms. A single droplet of tea tree oil, smeared on a tampon, works just fine. However, pregnant women are dissuaded from using this remedy as it may occasionally cause complications for the unborn baby.

There are other symptoms of parasitic fungus, for example dandruff, which is treated easily by using certain herbs and extracts taken from certain medicinal plants. For those with skin rashes, it would be unwise to wear tight clothing or rough garments which can irritate the rash. Cotton clothing would be the most comfortable garment to wear. Herbal or medicinal soap is also effective for dealing with dandruff or skin rashes.

While these effective candida natural treatment or remedies are readily available, it is important to note, that in some situations, it is highly recommendable that you visit a qualified medical practitioner. This is even more important if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Prolonged and extended cases of candida should also be reported to a doctor. Some medical prescriptions also do not go well with natural remedies.
