You might be working on the barn one day and find that your friend is suffering from great pain, sitting on the haunch and looking so pitiful because of high pain. One can also notice it when riding the animal and spending time with him.

Some owners may not realize it immediately but others can witness the unwillingness to move and the unintentional stumbling through its gait. The animal once performed it with great excellence and ease so there is definitely a problem. The complication is known as navicular disease in horses. It can give them burning pain due to increased blood flow.

The horse may also feel the pain because of the blood flow in his hooves which can totally change the shape of the coffin bone. To determine if he is suffering from it, you need to determine the common signs and symptoms first. His hooves must be trimmed regularly to avoid it from happening as well.

The trimming has to be done well to get rid of any complication as well as signs and symptoms of the disease. Doing it correctly will avoid abnormal growth of their hooves. The hooves can both grow and wear depending on the type of footing which he needs to keep on.

The bones can become completely immobile which can also cause poor circulation of the blood. Its condition will usually start in their front feet which can later on affect the other parts. They are at high risk especially when they are on higher stalls and are overweight.

Quarter animals for instance can be proned to this kind of condition and the Throughbreds as well which have smaller foot proportion. The disease has been identified to younger animals. Even if he or she is too young for it, it can be possible for him to have this sort of complication.

To completely avoid it, the owner has to know what to do to keep him healthy and save him from so much pain. It can definitely happen when the owner fails to take good care of his horse. You need to feed him well and walk him as a way of exercising. Healthy lifestyle should be part of the overall treatment. It could also happen for those horses that are intended for race, show and sale.

This kind of health condition can be gradual but can cause progressive lameness especially in the front part. It can be difficult to detect during the early stages because it can worsen everytime. You can just find them later on suffering from sever pain and lameness which you were not ablel to see and determine in their early years.

The correct way to avoid it is to be guided in keeping them healthy. Right diet and daily exercise are important to help them live a better life compared before. You need to guide them totally to recover and to avoid any sort of complication. You must aid them all the way by giving right food, protecting them from being lazy and everything which can be useful along the way.
