Understanding Deep Tissue Manipulation Therapy New Orleans

The Big Easy, NOLA, Nawlins, all of these are nicknames for the capital of the Gulf of Mexico state of Louisiana. As well as creole architecture, jazz, Mardi Gras and Hurricane Katrina, the Big Easy is known for its sports teams. As well as having teams in two of the four major league sports (basketball and football), it is home to two women's sports teams, a roller derby team and football squad. This local penchant for active sports means there is a sizable need for deep tissue manipulation therapy New Orleans.

The local NFL football team is the New Orleans Saints. For a string of seasons in the 1980s, the performance of the team was so dire that fans were pictured on television wearing paper sacks over their heads so that nobody could identify them. Finally, in 2009, the team redeemed itself by winning the Super Bowl. There is a possibility that one day, the city could host a major league soccer team, as investors are in the process of performing feasibility studies.

The Pelicans is the city's local NBA basketball team. The franchise located temporarily in 2005 after fleeing the city as the result of damage inflicted by the deadly Hurricane Katrina. The team made it home in time for the 2007-2008 season.

New Orleans also has an Arena League Football team, which was established in 2004. They have two mascots, named Bones and Mojo. The team also has a cheerleading squad called the Voo Doo Dolls.

Nawlins is a popular landing spot for hurricanes. Hurricane Katrina, a deadly Category 5 storm, slammed into the city on August 29, 2005. Eighty percent of the city was under water in the resulting floods. Hurricane Katrina is one of the five deadliest hurricanes to make landfall in the United States and the seventh most intense Atlantic storm on record. One month later, Hurricane Rita hampered rescue and recovery efforts.

Every year on Shrove Tuesday, Nawlins hosts Mardis Gras. The name it self is a direct translation of the French for "Fat Tuesday." Mardis Gras, an immense and colorful street party serves as a last fling on fatty, rich foods in preparation for the long 40-day fast that lies ahead.

Deep therapeutic tissue massage is a treatment that focuses on digging into the deeper layers of connective tissue, i. E., tendons and ligaments. It is used as a treatment for chronic pains and aches. Here, the deeper tissues in the upper and lower back, leg muscles and shoulders. It employs many of the same manual techniques that are performed in traditional massage therapy.

Manipulating the muscles frees the toxins and unblocks the flow of oxygen and nutrients, allowing them to freely flow to the tissues where they are required.
